Fundraising Events

While the Brain Injury Alliance of Connecticut (BIAC) hosts several annual fundraising events— including the Walk for Thought, "Tour of Lights" Bike for Thought , and  Golf For Thought — we also rely on independent fundraisers organized by groups, businesses, and individuals like you make our programs possible.

Thank you Trinity College's Neuroscience Students for hosting the Glow Run, Walk & Roll 5K Event on April 16th, 2016 benefitting BIAC. Over 100 participants came out for a fun night on Trinity's beautiful college campus.  Thank you again Dr. Sarah Raskin & Trinity Neuroscience Students for your continued support of BIAC's programs and services!

Planning a fundraising event can be as simple or as elaborate as you choose. The important thing is to keep your vision realistic. Have a grand vision and want to tackle a larger event? Don’t take on the challenge alone—recruit friends and family and form a committee to help you put it all together.

Not sure what kind of event will work? Here are a few ideas to get you started, but the options are endless and only limited by your imagination:

  • Pajama Day – make a donation to BIAC & wear pajamas to work
  • Host a get together and ask attendees to commit to making a donation to BIAC in the amount of their choosing
  • Host a brain injury awareness event and collect donations
  • Have a rummage sale and donate the proceeds to BIAC
  • If you work at a service or retail organization, donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to BIAC
  • Jeans Day –make a donation to BIAC and wear jeans to work
  • Organize a fun event and donate the proceeds to BIAC
