Love Your Brain Yoga Trainings


The LoveYourBrain Foundation has pioneered a FREE yoga program for people affected by traumatic brain injury designed to build resilience and community. LoveYourBrain was established by brothers, Adam and Kevin Pearce, following Kevin’s severe traumatic brain injury from a snowboarding accident before the 2010 Olympics. WHY: Kevin’s TBI gave a glimpse into a new world—one where many people affected by this injury are plagued by intense isolation and disempowerment. This revealed the need for programs to rebuild community and resilience for healing. LoveYourBrain chose yoga because its holistic and dynamic nature can meet the individual needs of each person with traumatic brain injury, from wanting to rebuild strength and balance, to manage stress, and to find comfort in a community of people with shared experiences.

WHAT: The LoveYourBrain research-backed yoga program supports people who have experienced a traumatic brain injury and their caregivers to participate in a free six-week gentle yoga series. This yoga program is available across the US and Canada, and is launching locally at Samadhi Yoga Studio in Manchester, CT this October.  Download the flyer.

When: Every Thursday from 11:00am-12:30pm starting October 4th, 2018.

Where: Samadhi Yoga, 283 E Center St, Manchester, CT

How to sign up: Classes are limited to 13 students so sign up on Love Your Brain's website today! Each person must submit their own registration. If you are planning to attend with another person, please try to submit both applications close together so you both get a spot.

The classes best serve those who are:

  • Ambulatory (no wheelchair, cane, walker)
  • Open to participating in group discussion
  • Able to follow instructions and regulate intense emotions
  • Able to commit to all 6 classes (the first class is mandatory)
  • Younger than 71 years of age
