The Brain Injury Alliance of Connecticut (BIAC) recognizes that satisfying social activities and relationships make a positive difference in the lives and recoveries of survivors. We bring survivors, their families and caregivers together and offer opportunities for them to meet new friends through recreational events during the year.
Every February, BIAC staff and volunteers join survivors, their families and caregivers for a fun night of games, prizes, dancing and great food during our Annual Valentine’s Dance. In addition, BIAC co-hosts a summer picnic for brain injury survivors, family, friends and caregivers, at Camp Harkness—a handicap accessible, oceanfront facility. Food and entertainment is always provided; just bring your bathing suit and towel and you’re welcome to join us for some fun in the sun. Details will be posted here as they become available.
Support groups also host social events of their own. Check the Support Group page for more information.
