Sarah Raskin, PhD., ABBPP/ABCN, President
Dr. Raskin is Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at Trinity College. A well-known researcher and expert in neuropsychological evaluation and cognitive remediation, Dr. Raskin has been a frequent presenter at BIAC's conferences and workshops. She served on BIAC's board (1995-1998) and has been a Support Group Facilitator since 1994.
Greg Bubnash, Treasurer
Former Director of the Investment Advisory Group of Hartford Mutual Funds, Mr. Bubnash has an adult son with a brain injury. Mr. Bubnash has been an active participant in BIAC's bike-a-thon and golf tournament. His finance and auditing experience are of significant value to the Board.
Jennifer Cromer, PhD, Secretary
Dr. Cromer is a clinical neuropsychologist in the Neurobehavioral Program at the Hospital for Special Care. She is a frequent presenter on brain injury topics throughout the state.
Traci Cipriano, JD, PhD
Dr. Cipriano, a clinical psychologist, is Director of Professional Affairs for the Connecticut Psychological Association and Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale Department of Psychiatry.
Ms. Eldredge is a Consultant with SCE Associates/Budderfly. Her previous experience includes several positions in Executive Search. Stacey lost her son to brain injury and has been active with both BIAC and the Yale BeaTBI team.
Claudia Englisby, JD, LLM
Attorney Englisby is Managing Attorney with Disability Planning Parners. She holds a Masters of Law in Elder Law and Estate Planning and is a member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners.
Janice E. Favreau, RP
Ms. Favreau serves as Corporate Paralegal for TRADEBE, and has a son with a brain injury. She previously served on the board of BIAC and as a Support Group Facilitator in Ellington in the 1980's.
James Horwitz, Esq
Mr. Horwitz is Managing Attorney at the law firm of Koskoff, Koskoff & Bieder, where he has represented many clients with brain injury. His firm is a long-term supporter of BIAC. His Board experience includes serving as President of the CT Trial Lawyers Association and on the Longwharf Theatre Board.
Kane, Erin, MSW
Ms. Kane is a Business Consultant with SMC Partners, LLC. Previously she served as Regional Network Manager for Beach Health Options and Assistant Director of Clinical Operations at Connecticut Community Care, Inc.
Lapidus, Garry, PA-C, MPH
Mr. Lapidus is Director of the Injury Prevention Center at Connecticut Children's Medical Center & Hartford Hospital. He also serves as Associate Professor, Pediatrics & Public Health for the UCONN School of Medicine. He has been involved in a coalition to advocate for a universal motorcycle helmet law in Connecticut.
Maryann McGuire, RN, MPH
Ms. McGuire iis National Account Manager with CoinferMED, which provides eConsults for primary care practice. The mother of a son with a brain injury, Maryann also consults with BIAC on research and grant writing.
Mr. Moore is President of WerthMoore Consulting and the former Chieft Strategic Officer for Chemwerth, Inc. He is a Director of the Werth Family Foundation which is a long-term supporter of BIAC.
Lydia (Lilly) Velez-Herrera
Ms. Velez-Herrera is the Founder of Lilly Sin Barreras/Lilly Without Barriers, where people can get help removing barriers to learning, navigating and recovery. She is a brain injury survivor and has been a strong supporter and partner with BIAC.
Jonathan Woodhouse, PsyD, ABPP-CN
Dr. Woodhouse is a board certified clinical neuropsychologist, Director of the Psychology Department at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, President of the Neuropsychology Division of the Connecticut Psychological Association, and Chair of the Professional Affairs and Information Committee for the National Academy of Neuropsychology.
Julie Peters, CBIS (Ex Officio)
Executive Director, Brain Injury Alliance of Connecticut
Ms. Peters is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and has served as BIAC’s Executive Director since 2002. Prior to joining BIAC, she served as Executive Director of the National Association of Social Workers-Utah Chapter.
